The Lincoln South Rotary Club Foundation asked club members to submit applications for a $2,000 grant to be awarded through the Lincoln South Rotary Club Foundation.
A number of applications were received. The strategic focus of the Lincoln South Rotary Foundation is to support nonprofit organizations supporting youth and education.
This year's grant will go to Villa Marie Home & School for Exceptional Children in support of the I CARE Suitcase program.
Through Villa Maria, students are given the resources to help other students who are struggling - such as going through homelessness. Villa Maria provides a suitcase with items that will help the student as they transition through their life changes especially as they are in the foster care system.
