THE ROTARY CITATION is given by Rotary International. .It recognizes the hard work clubs do throughout the year. Working to achieve the citation goals helps clubs engage their members, stay relevant in their communities, and run more efficiently. A welcoming and engaging club not only fosters a positive experience for its members, but also reflects the values of Rotary. When clubs achieve citation goals, they contribute to the overall health and culture of Rotary for generations to come.Lincoln South Rotary Club has earned The Rotary Citation for the past 28 years, which is when we started tracking and recording awards. Some years The Rotary Citation had levels of attainment (with Distinction, Gold, Platinum, etc.) and Lincoln South Rotary Club has earned a number of those designations.
END POLIO NOW CHALLENGE: COUNTDOWN TO HISTORY committee of The Rotary Foundation oversees and participates in raising financial support for Rotary's polio eradication efforts, including individual, club, and district activities. They provide recognition for those who have attained various levels of support.This year Lincoln South Rotary Club was recognized for financial contributions of $1,500 or more. The actual giving to End Polio Now during 2022-23 was $3,202.00.
For the past 9 years, Lincoln South Rotary Club had annual contributions over $1,500. Throughout the history of tracking donations to End Polio Now, Lincoln South Rotary Club has donated a total of nearly $40,000.
FIRST IN PER CAPITA GIVING TO THE ROTARY FOUNDATION is based on giving to the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is the general area for contributions. Those funds are used for a variety of programs including the return of a portion of those funds to the District for use with District and Global Grants.Of the 28 years that Lincoln South Rotary Club has tracked and recorded achievements, were have been First in Per Capita Giving for 9 of those years. In 23 out of the 28 years we have been in the Top 3.
