At Lincoln South Rotary Club on Friday, April 21, 2023, we learned about one of our newest members, Cynthia Houlden.
Cindy is married and has one daughter who is a critical care nurse.

Cindy works for UNL and, when asked where she wanted to have her office, she opted to work from her home. She works with cooperative development - democratically owned organizations. She is currently working on Home Care Worker cooperatives.

She has been in Rotary since 2004 and enjoys working on local projects as well as statewide and international activities. She worked on a fundraiser to support the purchase of wheelchairs for distribution in Sudan. She first joined in Kearney and thanked Lincoln South Rotary for the opportunity to continue in Rotary and especially the ability to join the meetings by Zoom.

She states that, within Rotary, we each have the ability to serve. We all have different passions and abilities. She believes that if you cannot find something to support within Rotary then you are not looking deep enough.

When asked if there is something that we would not know about her is that Cindy is a breast cancer survivor.
