On September 8 2023 at Lincoln South Rotary Club we will hear from Amrita (Ambi) Mahapatra on the topic of Immigrant to Citizen - Transformation or Assimilation.
Former member, Dick Miller, passed away on August 23 at the age of 103. Dick regularly attended Lincoln South Rotary during his 12 years as a member. Prior to Lincoln South he held memberships Plattsmouth as well as Arizona and Colorado, starting his Rotary service in 2002. We enjoyed Dick and Kaye's presence at the Club Social Events. Lincoln South Rotary Club initially supported a Little Free Pantry at the Gathering Place during the 2021-22 Rotary Year. We have seen pleas on Facebook and other media that the pantries have been bare for long periods of time.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp is November 3-5, 2023 at Camp Kitaki. Do you have a Sophomore or Junior (or know of one) that might benefit from participation? Do you have an interest in helping during the event?
President Mary shared during the changing of the guard that she was excited about the 2023-24 Rotary theme - Create Hope in the World. She believes in it - she supports it.
