Lincoln South Rotary Club President 2019-20 Chan Tyrrell selected and announced the Rotarians of the Year.
Because of the dedication and time of these members, the Tabitha Meals on Wheels volunteers are being honored this year as the Rotarians of the Year.

The service that is provided is always important. But, with the increased need and reduced volunteers caused by the pandemic, it is even more important now.

That was part of the message from president and CEO of Tabitha, Christie Hinrichs.

Christie joined the meeting to share congratulations and to personally thank all of the volunteers. She commented about the valuable partnership between Tabitha and Lincoln South Rotary for the years that we have supported them.

She indicated that the need for Meals on Wheels is increasing - even without the pandemic. Everyone hopes that people can stay in their homes as long as they wish to and don't need to move to a facility as they age. Meals on Wheels helps - providing food, some social interaction and a regular health check.

As Christie was thanking our volunteers she said "this work would truly not be possible with you - it is fully powered by your hearts and hands".

Thank you to these Lincoln South Rotary volunteers for Meals and Wheels and congratulations on being named as Rotarians of the Year:
