It started at a District meeting - Jack and Kay got reacquainted and, as Presidents of their respective Rotary Clubs, decided we would extend our fellowship with an Inter-Club Social
Jack Thompson, Crete Rotary Club President 2017-18 and Kay Wunderlich, Lincoln South Rotary Club President 2017-18, have known each other for years. They were both involved with advertising organizations.

They just happened to meet at a Rotary District Training event and decided the clubs could share fellowship opportunities during the Rotary Year.

Wes and Trish Meyer of Capital View Winery and Vineyard offered their location for an event. It was much like anytime you visit for a tasting - you order wine, can purchase meat and cheese trays, and certainly enjoy the view and fellowship.

Kay and Jack each presented power points with information and photos of the Clubs - the backgrounds and activities. We all know about our Club - but we learned about the long history of Crete Rotary. They have some on-going service projects such as providing recycling services at the fairgrounds. They also refurbished a community garden updating the fencing and adding a beautiful entry gate.
