The chief indicated that he will share stories surrounding successes and challenges, provide some statistical data affecting resources, and will seek our input on some of the controversial issues of today.

 

In April 2016, Jeffrey Bliemeister was selected as Lincoln's Chief of Police.

Jeff Bliemeister has over 20 years of law enforcement experience. He began his career in 1996 with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office (LSO) holding positions of deputy, sergeant and chief deputy under Sheriff Terry Wagner. During his time with LSO, he was involved with the patrol division, field training of officers/supervisors, division sergeant, tactical response unit, criminal investigations, narcotics, special services and training and personnel.

Jeff has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan and a Master's degree in Management from Doane College. He is a Leadership Lincoln Fellow, serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club, and volunteers at the Child Advocacy Center and Sheridan Lutheran Church.
